Adobe FrameMaker comes with a dual interface, which allows it to work BOTH as a traditional dtp tool like InDesign or QuarkXpress AND as an xml editor.

The manner in which the template system works differs depending on which interface you choose. The templates are optimized to work with Unstructured FrameMaker which is by far the most common version.
